The next step

After I have put in my first draft and recieved feedback, and I have changed the few things I had to change, I then submitted my final script, and I am now waiting for feedback.

Next

I have now wrote out my script as a first draft and handed it in, I then had feedback from it a few weeks later..
The changes I have made to my script are:

1. I had to get rid of the swearing that was in there because it didnt sound right because the charecters in my script are really different.
2. I then changed a few scenes in my script:

The scene where they discover the fireplace glowing green, I have changed that to Josh wakes up because he heard a noise coming from the kitchen, so he goes to find out what it is and theres a caveman in the kitchen. I have changed the scene because I wanted to show a different part of the time machine, like a time portal has opened up in another dimension and they have enede up in their kitchen.

I then researched about different scripts related to 'Doctor who' and 'Two and a half men.'

The Characters

I then started to think about my characters and develop them for my script..
My first characters is:

Josh Baker
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Eye colour: Blue
Hair colour: Brown
Height/Weight: 6ft 5, 12 stone
Characteristics: Josh is a very untidy person who never cleans up after himself, he is rather dull because he left college because he got bored, in the past he hardly ever went to school. He is very sports but unemployed so he lives in the gym always keeping fit.
Back Story: When Josh and Ryan were 15 their parents were in a car accident and had sadly passed away,most of their family such as grandparents etc, live in different countries so they hardly see them, because Josh is older than Ryan he has to look after him.

Id See Josh to look like Aaron taylor Johnson who's off the films 'Kick Ass' and 'Angus thongs and perfect snogging.'

Ryan Baker
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Eye colour: Brown
Hair colour: Blonde
Height/Weight: 5ft 9, 10 Stone
Characteristics: Ryan is very brainy, he has good grades in school but he has OCD and always cleans up after his brother, he is polite and is never shy.
Back Story: When Ryan and Josh were 15 their parents were in a car accident and had sadly passed away, most of their other family grandparents etc, live in different countries so they hardly see them.

Id See Ryan to look like Xavier Samuel who's off the films 'Twilight Eclipse' and 'A Few best men.'

Keith Jones (The Commander)
Age: 50 as the commander: 1000
Gender: Male
Eye colour: Green
Hair colour: Brown
Height/Weight: 5ft 11, 12 stone
Characteristics: He is very mysterious and he hides himself from the world. He is kind and caring and always looks out for Josh and Ryan, he also likes to live in a clean environment.
Back Story: Keith secretly is a time lord and is known as Commander Keith. Years ago his time machine crashed and ever since he hasn't been able to travel through time he has just lived a normal persons life on Earth. Also he has taken care and looked out for the boys ever since their parents died.

Id See Ryan to look like George Clooney who's off the films 'The Descendants ' and The Americans.'

The plot

My script is based on Two and a Half men and Doctor who, so I am going to try put most of the programmes into my script and refer to them.

• There will be two brothers who live together in a very messy flat in Wales.
• One day they are both walking on their way home from college/Gym and they discover an old statue buried in the ground, so they take it home and put it on their fireplace.
• One day one of them goes downstairs to get a drink to discover that the fireplace is glowing green, so he goes to get his brother and they then decide to leave it until the next morning.
• The next day they discover that the fireplace is back to normal again, so they then go on the internet to research about this statue. They then find out that their cray next door neighbour Keith owns the statue.
• So they go round to go see him, and he says he doesn't know anything about it, then few hours later he tells the truth, and tells the boys his biggest secret saying he is a time lord and he travels through time, and that the statue is a time machine.
• The boys then get excited and they then go back in time with keith.

About Two and a half men

Two and a half men is an American sitcom which was first shown on 22nd September 2003. The series is about a man named Charlie who's lifestyle is interrupted by his brother Alan who has just been divorced by his wife, moves into tho charlies Malibu house, along with Alan's son Jake. Charlie is a bachelor who writes commercial jingles for a living.

About Doctor who

Doctor Who is a British science fiction television series about an alien time traveller called the Doctor. He travels through time and space in the 'TARDIS' (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) the outside of the TARDIS always looks like a 1960's British police box, but on the inside it is much bigger. The series ran from 1963-1989 and then strated to run again in 2005. In Doctor who when the time lords are dying they 'regenerate' this is where the time lords body completly changes and heals and the same time, every time this happens their apperance and personality changes.

The start..

Before I started anything, I started to do my research for my script. But I had no clue what to do for my script, so I started off writing down all of the Tv shows I watch.
They are:

• Come dine with me
• Inbetweeners
• Doctor who

• Scrubs
• Mrs brown boys
• Family Guy

I then started to note down some ideas, and start mixing the programmes up and combining them:

My first Idea was a 'Two and a half men and a Doctor Who' type of thing..
       It starts off with 2 men in the year 2013, and they live in Wales
So it will have typical Welsh weather.
They walk on their way home from work and both discover an old abandoned
time machine.
So they go back home and try fixing it, when they have eventually fixed
it they decide to go back in time and start to cause havoc.
They get too carried away and then eventually come back to where they started
they soon discover they are the only people on Earth, and start to enjoy it.
After a while they both get fed up and decide to go back into time once again to
try fix it all, they eventually do and they become heroes in the end, and they live
their dreams.

My second Idea was a little bit like 'Dexter' but it didnt sound that good to me...

There is a family of 3 the Father is a Crime Scene Investigator and the Mother is a Pathologist.
They live in a neighbourhood where it is really rough and there is always a murder happening there, so the mother and father are really busy all the time, trying to solve
all of these murders.
But theres a twist their son who they think is a top student in school and always does this work, is actually a seriel killer! and he is the one who sneaks out at night (when his parents this he is doing his work in his room) and starts killing people..
In the end the parents discover a knife in his room or a bit of blood on his jumper, and start questioning it, eventually they suspect its their son and he gets put into jail for life.

My Third Idea is a 'Come dine with me' type but it has a huge rivalry.

There is a strip/street and there are 6 top resturants there, 5 chefs are there in their restrants and then there is 1 resturant but it is shut down.
Two of the chefs are bestfriends and they hate the other three, they all play tricks on each other and start wrecking the resturants so they can shut them down, for example they will go in disguise and put food poison in the food etc.
But one day a new chef arrives on the 6th resturant but..he is a 5 star restuant where all the others are 3-4 star.
They chefs put their arguments aside and team up to try put the new resturant out of buisness.
